Go to the ticket purchasing booths and the one on the right. Tell the clerk you want to take the Ciudad Quesada bus all the way to La Fortuna. Depending on the departure time, They will either sell you a ticket that will take you the entire way, or they will tell you to exit the bus at the Quesada Terminal and switch buses to a La Fortuna specific bus. The drivers will direct you if you ask them. The bus from San Jose to Quesada is as of Aug. 6, 2017 1,800 colones. Not sure of the La Fortuna price but should not be much. It’s a 3-4 hr ride to Quesada depending on the time you depart. Quesada to La Fortuna is normally a 40-60 min ride. There is a 5min Baño stop north of Naranjo. Once you pass Zarcero you will experience lots of ups and downs and curves that make people sick. If you or your kids are the type take some dramamine.
