Las Tablas

[google_maps id=”3981″]

In Las Tablas, buses heading to and from Panama City arrive and depart from just north of the Hospital (see map).  Buses to Panama City depart every hour until 9pm. Note: if you are coming from Panama City and you are heading to Venao then you must leave the city by no later than 9am to make the connecting bus from Pedasi!

To Playa Venao

If you are heading to Playa Venao then there is one direct bus each day at 1:30pm  – except Sundays. It departs from north of Parque Belisario (see map).

We haven’t updated this in a while but one of your fellow travellers gave this info:

“In Las Tablas you have to go to the terminal – it is at the End of the City –> at the Point “Buses Las Tablas – Chitré” No matter, if you want to go to Pedasi or to Playa Venao. The Bus will NOT go from the park or across the super market rosa.  You can walk to this station or take another minibus which goes to the terminal (just ask people standing at bus stations, they will help you) or you can take a taxi.
At the terminal just look lost and somebody will help you 😉 The direct bus to Playa Venao has “Cañas” as its destination – so this is the right bus. Time is still correct during the weekdays. I heard something, that the bus will go at 11 on Saturday – but not really sure – I will ask again.”

If you are headed to Venao and miss all buses you will expect to pay around $40 USD for a taxi. Or about $25 from Padasi.

Las Tablas -> Panama City: every hour until 9pm, ~$10, ~5hrs

Las Tablas -> Pedasi: every hour until 5pm, ~$2.50, ~25min

Las Tablas -> Venao: once per day except Sundays at 1:30pm, ~45min

Prices from 2016

Could I ask a question about the Panama to Chitre bus? Does that bus make stops on the way? Is it best to take the Panama to David bus, and get off at Davisa, and take another bus from there to Chitre? or maybe take the Panama to Las tablas and get off in Chitre? Thanks

Made the way today to Playa Venao. The Bus from Panama City to Las Tablas is still right, the rest not all

In Las Tablas you have to go to the terminal – it is at the End of the City –> at the Point “Buses Las Tablas – Chitré”
No matter, if you want to go to Pedasi or to Playa Venao. The Bus will NOT go from the park or across the super marcet rosa.
