There are a few stations in San Isidro de El General and we are building this page as we get submissions of new info. For now we can share the MUSOC station info for you for buses to and from San José! There is both a MUSOC station in San José and in San Isidro de El General. Service is frequent and easy. Note there is also a Tracopa station in San Isidro de El General that goes back and forth to San José.
There’s another bus station called Transporte Blanco which runs buses to Dominical, Quepos, Uvita etc. Bus to Dominical is the same one that goes to Quepos but it turns round at Dominical.

Have a look at the images below for the MUSOC station in San Isidro del General. A big thank you traveller Maria for sending us up to date information about this station! (Nov 2017)

Where is the bus station from San Isidro to Rivas and San Gerardo de Rivas? We will be coming from San Jose to San Isidro on a Tracopa bus and need to know how to get to the Buses Publicos CR station (this is the name of the local bus company I found online through Rome2Rio).
Where can i buy bustikets online?
Hola,

? Thank you for your help
What time does the latest bus leave San Isidro for San Jose. I have to be at the airport at 1:00 am in the morning.
Also what should I expect the taxi to cost to take me from the San Jose bus station to the international airport.
CJ
Hi Cee Jay, if you check the photos you’ll find the schedule we have – though it was from Nov 2017. We only have the Musoc schedule but there is also a Tracopa station in town. If you are already in San Isidro, I’d recommend popping by both stations to double check the schedule and to even as if it passes the airport along the way. There may be a bus that does a route the passes the airport, not sure. A taxi in San Jose should be around $30 dollars, though its been a little while since I have gone by taxi so that’s a rough estimate.
We took a taxi from the SJO airport to San Jose MUSOC bus terminator last Friday and it cost 20,000 colones (almost US$40) and we added 3,000 colones for tip. Total US $44.75. This was during morning rush hour.
Hi! There’s another bus station called Transporte Blanco which runs buses to Dominical, Quepos, Uvita etc. Bus to Dominical is the same one that goes to Quepos but it turns round at Dominical (so no need to get off the bus at the junction like I did, although it’s less than a 5 minute walk across the bridge anyway!)
Thanks for the info addition!!
Thanks this helped me a load. Information is perfect
Location of the San Jose station can easily be found on maps.me just south of the centre (20 minute walk)
The location is Perez Zeledon/San Isidro de General. My husband and I have visited Costa Rica three times and everytime we come back to this area. It’s the second largest city in Costa Rica and is located 3 hours away from San Jose. It’s also pretty close to Dominical to relate it to another place on your site.
We really enjoy living and being a part of Costa Rican culture here because it’s mainly natives and few tourists here. When we visit, we take a cab from SJO to the Musoc Station and then take whichever bus is leaving next for San Isidro. This busline leaves hourly from San Jose and San Isidro so we’ve found you never have to wait that long to catch a bus.
Tracopa also has a station in Perez Zeledon but we only just took it to Paso Canoas this one time. They apparently go back and forth to San Jose but we never had experience with that.
