The Mercado Israel Lewites bus terminal feels like a much more chill station than Mercado Roberto Huembes. Two of the most popular destinations this station services are Chinandega and Leon. Note there are also microbuses heading to León from the Mercado Roberto Huembes.
Managua to León
Buses arrive at the main bus station in León
Expreso (bus) every 30minutes, takes 1.5hrs and costs 52C$.
(microbus) leaves when full, operates between 4am and 5:30pm, takes about 1.5hrs and costs 55C$
Managua to Chinandega
You will arrive in Managua at the Mercado Bisne
(microbus), 87C$, leaves when full, from 4:30am to 5:30pm, about 2hrs
(bus) 77C$, expresso, leaves 26times per day from 4:30am to 5:50pm, 2.5hrs
Managua to El Transito
The Free Spirit Hostel has a good write up on how to get to El Transito . We will try to gather some more information soon about nearby destinations including: Pochomil, El Velero and Gran Pacifica – but please leave us a comment below if you have taken the bus to one of these places to let us know the schedule!

El Sauce (bus): 7:30am, 2:30pm and 4pm, ~3hrs
La Paz (bus): every 30 min from 6:15am-8pm. ~20C$, ~1.5hrs
Nagarote (bus): every 30min from 5am to 8pm

Hola, muchas gracias por su sitio Internet. Hicimos el viaje Managua-el transito y el bus passa bien entre 12h00 y 12h30, 13h30 y el último a las 15h. El viaje dura aproximadamente 2horas y costo por 2 personas (con dos mochilas y una tabla) 150 córdobas. Veimos también buses en direction de Pochomil en el misma parada entre las 11h30 y las 12h30 pero no recordamos exactement de la hora.
